If you want better brakes, graft on a GSXR-750 front end and be through with it. Even some custom Harleys have started to use this set-up. Get real friendly with a good machinist, I'm not sure if the front end is a direct fit, and you may require his shop services to make everything fit.
Best way to convert it to chain drive is to use pieces designed for the early 80's single cylinder Suzuki Tempter, which is a 4 speed Savage motor with a tach drive...
Trike it? Why? It's possible, but you better be real good friends with the best machinist in town, I've never seen a kit to do the conversion.
